Mission. the purpose and mission of the wooden boat foundation is to celebrate and preserve traditional maritime skills, heritage, and culture through (a) presentation of educational events, regattas, workshops and seminars about wooden boats, (b) production of the annual wooden boats festival (c) supporting the physical restoration or wooden boats, including the documentation and learning. Sales generated at the wooden boat chandlery support the northwest maritime center, located in port townsend, washington. our mission is “to engage and educate people of all generations in traditional and contemporary maritime life, in a spirit of adventure and discovery.".
