Test the different aluminum foil boats by floating them in a bathtub or other large tub full of water. add one penny at a time to each boat until they sink and keep track of which designs held the most pennies. for example, if you had a 1,000 pound boat, it would need to displace more than 1,000 pounds of water when it is in the ocean in order to float.. To understand how the volume of space in the boat relates to its ability to float, we're going to design some aluminum foil boats. you'll be constructing three boats, each with a different volume.. €
